       @dansup At the very least we owe you a huge amount of gratitude, so a big thank you from myself at least.  I certainly don't want to compare you or others behind fedi, to Zukerberg or other billionaires, you have higher moral, ethical standards they will never reach.  I am not sure what else you can do,  just keep up the good work.  Those of us on here who know who you are ( I do now ) will appreciate how dedicated you are.   The media won't unless you make millions, and are on social constantly looking for likes. Again a big thank you.

       @Edent @dansup the context of his post is i made a web app for his platform before he’s released his, in just a day or two making it functional, all while he’s still not open sourced it (which he’s required to do as he’s received funding on those terms) and keeps delaying every promise he makes.he reiterated multiple times that the thought to shut down my 3rd party client was in his mind- “the thought crossed my mind to eliminate your access to the API”- just to hold that over my head. he tried to hire me to work officially on loops because of what i built, announced that prematurely before i had signed onto anything, only to block me when i criticised him joking about adding ads to the platform. but alright!

       @h @Edent @dansup he only has to open source it at the end though right? (I don't think nlnet requires you to open source throughout the dev process necessarily. Just at the end it needs to be open source) it wouldn't be the first project that's closed source at the start (because yeah... it's not done yet and there are problems) and then open source when they declare it stable

       @dansup People doubt whatever they want to and believe anything they want to.  Stand to your statements, that should be good enough.  I don't think that you need to prove to anyone every time that you are truly interested in contributing to a free and open world.In my eyes accepting funding in itself wouldn't be bad as long as it doesn't influence you in any way. If it starts to conflict with privacy needs or with the soul of OSS, then that would be really a problem.

       @dansup @_elena @nlnet Recently I was discussing about publishing videos with a friend. And he said: "do what YOU want. There will be people who like it and there will be people who will dislike it. And there's nothing you can do about it."But I also know from "large" YouTubers that one negative comment costs more energy than 100 good ones bring. 🥴Seems to be a major misconceptions of us humans.
