@tuxedocomputers 2 upgrades to OS 4, 2 failures. One recovered with chroot, the other went black during the process and even though the chroot steps seemed to work, it no longer boots. Wiping and reinstalling 😒

@gvs Sorry to hear, it did not work for you. If you still have the log file from the upgrade, that would be nice. Also, what device was this?

It seems more complex then that. I wiped the second system, an Intel NUC and reinstalled with WebFAI and crypt, it doesn't boot.Installing with ISO to stick and no crypt, it boots

I should note that the upgraded install had no encryption, it was using the built in encyrption of the drive (through the bios)

Going further on this, there doesn't seem to be a luks option in the installer any more, there is in webfai. Installing with that and the built in drive encryption got me a working installation. I will see about the logs, I copied most of the data of before reinsalling

@gvs The option to encrypt from the installer is gone, as it posed some serious issues. So we took it out for now and not sure currently, if we can bring it back like it was.
