@tuxedocomputers So far I thought #ZorinOS was the pinnacle of a Linux system that "just works" and is extremely user-friendly especially for non-experts, but I'm happy to report (after unpacking my new Tuxedo notebook yesterday) that #TuxedoOS looks and feels just as refined and mature, even a little more when it comes to customization of appearance / colors etc., so it's definitely a keeper for this new machine. You're doing a great job, and I'm very happy with my purchase. :)

What is the root password on TUXEDO-OS-4-202410300530.iso? It is asked to open KDE partition manager in the live environment.

@Zahrun There is no password. Please open a terminal and become root with 'sudo su'. Then start 'partitionmanager' from there.

@tuxedocomputers As a coding guy I'm in the team ''it's ready when it's ready'' so I can definitely wait. And shipping this as waves is actually very good habit. Thanks for doing it like this and happy to hear that there is no issue on my side. Have fun coding.

I know the upgrade had issues, but it was supposed to be back yesterday. When will it be re-released?

@tuxedocomputers after some updates of packages I don't find the "Upgrade system" option anymore. Is it possible to download the script anywhere?

@alesarrett We pulled the script last Friday due to some problems with the upgrade process. Probably today, we will start a test phase for the rest of the week to make sure there are no more glitches. We will release some news on the process with instructions on how to provide feedback later on today on our website and on Social Media.

It would be convienient if you posted status updates somewhere so we knew it was pulled, or when it is available again. It's an update that will take a bit of time, so I'm planning when to do it.

@gvs Sorry about the delays, we post news as soon as we have them. We will start a test phase for the rest of the week today. A news item will be on our website and on Social Media today, detailing how we move on with this.

@tuxedocomputers Waring for #tuxedoos upgraders (22 -> 24.04).I just made an upgrade attempt of #tuxedoos. It failed. #timeshift saved me from a complete reinstallation. Nothing lost here. It is still not safe. The upgrade tool is under testing. Thus, if one needs the device for work, wait until Tuxedo folks says it is OK.Moreover, #backup and use timeshift!

@devSJR It would be nice to know, where it failed. There is a log at /var/log/tuxedo-upgrade. Maybe you saved it?

@tuxedocomputers The system was in a nonfunctional state. Therefore, I performed a prompt timeshift restore. The log is lost. Sorry.
