       That song "MacArthur Park" ... you know, it's about a man who has baked a cake.It's pretty dramatic.

       It was a mistake to shitpost this just before listening to the song again. I conceptualised the whole lyrics as being about the cake and it ruined the experience somewhat.I'm kinda obsessed with that song currently. The Richard Harris version of course. His singing foreshadows that of artists like Beth Gibbons. Even the vibrato on the high note sounds almost like hers.It was probably that song among a couple of others which turned me on to #progressive rock and metal later. #music
