       SUBJECT: text/enriched vs. gopher clients?
       DATE: 04-Mar-22 21:29:29
       HOST: sverige

Was starting to become interested more in gopher and gemini but also
am curious about text/enriched, which I only noticed recently while
       reading the GNU emacs manual.

It seems like having text/enriched as an alternative viewing format for
text documents would solve the (minor) problem I have using gopher on
my phone. Viewing text with a decent sized font requires tipping the
phone into landscape orientation, or else putting up with chopped up
       lines.

Its goal of being easy to parse and its finished immutable standard
also match well with gopher, I would think.

Do any gopher clients parse and render enriched text? Was there ever
any enthusiasm for it among the gopher population?
