       ## What Brings Me Here
       
       The world is full of information, narratives, and beliefs. Constant proliferation. Necessarily, because that's the only way the system can be maintained, because it's solely geared towards growth. This is most reflected in our beloved WWW. An internet full of voices and opinions that disregard any facts. Advertising pop-ups, paywalls, and especially social media, which constantly stir everything up and make you feel like you don't want to miss any information.
       So, what brings me here? A quieter internet, a nostalgic, romantic idea of how communication can function. A safe place where it’s not the information that finds me, but the other way around.
       A still pond in the midst of the ocean’s currents.
       
       ## Who Am I Anyway
       
       I'm an IT professional, musician, writer, husband, and dog father. Everything I do, even something like this, I simply do. Whether it's learning an instrument, writing a book, or learning a new language, my philosophy is that there's no next time. If I don't try it in this life, there won't be a second opportunity. That's what drives me and lets me constantly discover new things, recognize connections, and set new goals.
       
       ## A Few More Words
       
       All non-German texts have been translated from German into English. I write in German because I can simply think more easily in my native language and creativity can flow more freely. The texts are translated by an LLM (gemma:12b). The prompt is carefully guided to maintain my writing style as much as possible.
       For the German texts, I use "gemma" exclusively to proofread my written texts.
