We want the ability to control our own waterways, including through things like the Jones Act that would arguably violate that treaty.So...we never signed it.So now we're angry with Iran for violating a treaty neither of us is a party to.

I once represented a woman charged with obstruction and resisting because she slapped the hand of the officer groping her genitals. The ASA said she should have complied and sued the officer later. Yes, we won. That's not the fucking point.

I also had a client who an ASA accused of making a false police report because she was assaulted by a white man, accurately described him, and was told white men don't assault people the way Black men do. No, she wasn't charged with anything. Again, not the fucking point.

Cis people: normalize introducing yourself with your pronouns.If only trans and gnc people do it, we're outing ourselves. If we don't, we accept getting misgendered. And when cis people do it, it acclimates other cis people to the practice and makes it safer for trans and gnc people.
