Modern life is rubbish. Case in point; #WebSearch. I just tried to search;greens.org.nz spokespeopleI think it's pretty clear what I'm after. I want results from that website *only*, that include the keyword 'spokespeople', right?#DuckDuckGo gives me thier Wikipedia page, a bunch of spokespeople announcements from 2023, an ActionStation page on alcocol policy that lists Judith Collins as National leader, and the list of spokespeople for the *NZ Labour* party, FFS. The youngest Baby Boomers were born in 1964 and are now about 62, and the vast majority have already retired. We're only a few years off the oldest Gen Xers retiring. All of this talk about pushing the age up further is ludicrous. If anything the retirement age ought to be brought back to 60. Why?1) Gen X is a significantly smaller cohort than our parents 2) We haven't benefited from the cradle to the grave welfare system Boomers' parents bequeathed them, and which political leaders have spent decades burning in the engines of wealth concentration3) As a result we probably won't live as long on average as Boomers. For those of us who are autistic *and* ADHD, this is where the conflicting needs of the 2 are at their most torturous.The burned out autistic nervous system needs to stop, do nothing, and avoid all stimulus, until it can return to a healthy baseline. But that's kryptonite for the ADHD brain, which needs autonomous activity and chosen stimulation to return to baseline.AuDHD burnout is fucking horrible.
