They’ve had years!“One more data center bro, just one more data center and I’ll build an app to reverse climate change”The 68k Mac community has had a sudden influx of new apps, all super ambitious and interesting. None of the ones I tried actually worked. Just the illusion of progress through a ton of output.

I’ve fallen to the same grift and had to make a conscious effort to pull myself back from the dopamine hit.But it turns listeners into peddlers and breaks communities down. People stop trying to connect or engage, and are just thinking about what /they/ are going to build next.
