@openvibe @rasur @lardmotel I like the idea of a physical object with ever improving digital files (eg Atmos) but i'm a bit leery of it being tied to just android/ios but time moves on and I suppose people prefer mobile device to play Vs your own hifi despite possible issues with digital media but i'd have to read the docs for a better understanding of how it works (i mean the dongle doesn't store audio, right?). Anyway, good luck, hope it sells!

@phantomcircuit @lardmotel @dj2mn does he generate the whole song using some online AI SongGen syste? It sounded more like just the Vocals and the avatars being generated that way (perhaps I misread), but also: see Sampling As Artistic Theft, see also Gorillaz as Virtual Band members. Nothing new here except the outrage, smells like to me.

@lardmotel huh well completely missed that but if it helps at all another data point: 3ghz i7 48gb ram for those rare moments of gaming but got an mac air m4 (i think? can't remember it's at home) recently and am increasingly impressed by how not shit it is, esp on audio things

@lardmotel yeh one thing i learned the hard way on a project back in the 90's on (now) really low powered PCs was make models as low-poly count as possible (you'll thank yourself later), poss also mix in level-of-detail versions, but.. full sympathies etc. These days the RAM is generally more plentiful tho (the above was on 64MB RAM machines LOL). Dunno about the scripting tho, apart from "keep it simple" being best ;)

@lardmotel Had to look at my ILok to remind myself.. ISWYM about locked licenses, but I thought it was all clown-based these days, and the interwebs seem to confirm.. /me i'd go the "hey $audio_company my license is on a dead ilok can i shift it to computer pls" but ofc depends on how many licenses you have.or apparently you stick the dead ilok in the freezer for a few minutes and then while it's cold enough transfer the licenses? (people hand wave about bad solder joints..)
