       I was thinking from a while to streaming some gameplay, both (new and retro games). No spoken commentary, thought, it is not my kind of thing.I think to do most strategy, rpg and adventure games than else.I have some ideas about what air, but I want first look if there is some interest.Let me know if you like see something, and an idea of the time slot you would like (put also your timezone).

       @gamingonlinux Good question if this goes to ban US stuff in EU outright because could be a violation of the privacy laws.With the EU/US relationship in freefall, it could be another string attached to the political spat.Linux/freeBSD maintainers should think twice before jump this bandwagon before find themselves banned from EU and other countries with more restrictive laws.

       @gamingonlinux Nowdays I tend to question the technical skill and understanding of some devs. Some of them is like they turn on the machine but never really poked the nose to look how an OS run, just write codes of lines blind for something they didn't saw the workings.Otherwise I don't see how a dev could say that SteamOS isn't linux.

       @gamingonlinux It is from long time that consolle market operates at loss, makers make (relatively) little from selling the consolle themselves, they recoup from the ecosystem (discs/licenses and live services).I believe Microsoft could ditch completely the Xbox as consolle hardware and make it like a "dumb terminal" for only playing online games from their store, in line with the plans to make Windows more a web client for their cloud services and apps.

       @gamingonlinux @AestheticFemboy @mortn I would avoid to rely on Reddit much after they did the shady deal with Google. ;)Beside size isn't all. In my experience, the smaller communities like the webforums is where you get real audience that helps to expand later. Mastodon itself isn't big as "big tech services" but I get much better engagement than I saw on other services that push an algorithm curated feed.

       @gamingonlinux If AIs are ready, maybe he should specify which, because Gemini and ChatGPT are still hallucinating badly also with some basic searches that they hinders you more than the help.It's one of those times when I think FreeBSD has better judgment in some choices, despite the OS lags behind in some areas for lack of devs.They are looking how use AI, yes, but they are taking more time about evaluating where they works for and what avoid about, and are a lot more conservative.

       @gamingonlinux in average Bethesda titles after Skyrim were a downfall, except the Oblivion remaster that was well received as far I read.I'm not really sure if I should expect something interesting, beside perhaps for New Vegas.

       @gamingonlinux Mozilla foundation already lost it from a decade or more.Unfortunately near all browser engines are based or on Mozilla or Chrome, and other projects have to coming out from development or are very niche (like the classical Amiga web browsers), so we have to deal with them for a while yet.

       @thelinuxEXP I think SystemD improved in latest years, but it had a long string of reliability issues that have marked its name. Myself I got some issues with it with suspension and hibernation that I tend to use other distros without it (like Devuan) that never gave me an issue instead. So, usually I preferr to stick on OpenRC or others.However the dependency on SystemD is more a critic I would move to the other projects than attach it to the init itself.
