       @stux I explored their service a while go. I started up a object storage unit, then shut it down. This cost 1¢ but I couldn't close my account until the end of the monthly billing cycle. The end of the month didn't come soon enough.

       @eff Sadly, fewer and fewer sites are implementing a RSS feed. I suspect this is because it allows people to bypass ads. For me, it just means I only visit a site occasionally to poke around then leave.

       @dangillmor I don't use a VPN as much any more. I'm OK with Backblaze requiring my real ISP address. It's sites that require that I turn off ad blocking that are dead to me.Did BackBlaze's S3 service also fail with VPNs? I'd have a real problem with that. storj is cheaper and doesn't care. But you have to roll your own backups with something like arq which works great.Also backblaze's tech support is very limited. You have to be a certain type of customer (e.g. low tech) in contrast to high-knowledge "Why won't your service let me do this?". They just refund the high-knowledge customers and send them on their way. It means less support costs but shows a certain send of technical entitlement. "You don't like it? OK. There's the door."

       @dangillmor My 7a no longer lies flat on the counter which means the battery has swollen. I occasionally have issues with calls but I don't know if that's the phone or service in my area or questionable Wifi. I'm tempted to get a 10a and put Graphene on it out of the box. I don't use the 7a for finanacial or airlines and will likely install the Playstore but I don't know how well the COPY OLD PHONE TO NEW PHONE conversion will work.Thoughts?

       @dangillmor I only use Bitwarden as a backup for 1Password. But "Just in case" I add passwords to ProtonPass. It doesn't have the amount of information that 1Password has, but if BitWarden is annoying you, try it.

       @dangillmor I just thought of a great small business. It would be a small consulting company hiring out a really strong Argon laser to burn out the electronics of the FLOCK devices. Go from town to town like the Pied Piper, promising to fix the Flock problem.A friend suggested getting one, taking it apart, decompiling it's Firmware to find the IP address of it's update servers, and going to town DDOSing or breaking in and poisoning a firmware update so that it bricks every device. They'd have to individually service each one with a laptop and cable to bring them back into service.
