       @stux And this is only the tip of the iceburg. If we stopped using an inherently scarce medium like money to count for things, we could afford to let everyone have a high standard of living, in a way that was both sustainable and environmentally friendly.        @EUCommission Protecting children, in addition to being a high priority for most people, is also one of the fastest and reliable ways of eroding human rights and freedoms. And the vast majority of measures proposed to protect children don't even do so effectively, they are just disguised schemes to increase the power of the state and the wealth of the already wealthy by leveraging some of the strongest human emotions to manipulate people into agree with policies not in their best interests.

       @opensuse Nothing good ever came from MS. They are responsible for so much harm done to the tech industry. So even if there was any practical merit to using their browser (and I don't think that there is), it would be unethical. So no thanks.

       @eff One guy in there even rolls out the ol' "if you have nothing to hide" argument. Too many people still believe this. The reasons against this should really be taught in schools because of how fundamental they are to a healthy society. I strongly suspect that their exclusion is deliberate and why we have problems like these happening today.
