I think Normal People™ are excited about AI because it's good at completing dumb, performative tasks required by social formalisms.I'm now filling up a medical questionnaire consisting of a myriad maddening UI patterns and unanswerable questions. I'm sure no human is going to use it to understand my problem. It's just a thing that "must" be presented and filled out. A formality.So I can't blame people for wanting to let an AI agent do this. It doesn't deserve their cognitive time.

By the way, my conclusion from this is, if anything can be done with "AI", we should look into it and figure out how to optimize it away, so that a human would only provide an input they're fully conscious about.

Okay, that went well. And I culled the trillium shots from 13 to just 3. Now's the hard part — WHICH ONE OF THE THREE! Interesting angle vs. classic face-on shot, vs. the one highlighted by the sun. What do you think?

I mentioned a few times that I hate shooting flowers. They're beautiful by default, don't require much skill and don't tell any story. So why am I posting this one?See, I spotted it on a recent hike, and it's the first time I've seen a purple one, not the regular white. (cont…) So today I woke up early, made a trip back to that trail, found the flower and… realized I was almost late, as it is now a much deeper purple color! It was a very light lavender just two days ago. I'm guessing it's going to die pretty soon.So I'm extra happy now that I was able to catch it :-)

Hey #CSS folks! Asking for help with a border-image bug I can't seem to crack myself.I put together a minimal example at https://softwaremaniacs.org/media/sm_org/chrome-bi.html which I checked in Chrome and Firefox on Android and desktop. And *only* Chrome on Android shows the ugly 1-pixel seams/gaps between the sliced components of the image.Is that a known thing? Searching Internet didn't bring anything useful…
