@0xabad1dea @epsi So, you're talking about duplicating layers, not copying layers.You should have said so in your original post. That would have been clearer.But... You're not speaking for every artist, only you and maybe some others, because... I know from experience that if duplicate layer doesn't use this naming convention, but acts like add layer or copy layer, you will get dozens, hundreds complaints that the naming convention is all wrong, and fix it to copy of layer 1, copy of copy...

Code has become too complex, and there is just too much of it!But if you have thought about what your were writing, if you have recorded your thinking in commit messages and comments. There is a chance you might have a recollection of having created that code when debugging it, ten years later.If you asked Claude to regexp-slop it for you, not chance.

That's what you do to help other people to level up.But with LLM-generated code, where are the people you want to mentor?But you still have to code-review the swill.

@JenJen This is probably easiest: https://inkscape.org/release/inkscape-1.4.3/gnulinux/appimage/dl/ -- then download it and, if needed, right-click in your file manager and make it executable, then click or double-click.There are other options, like flathub, or your distro repo, but those are more complicated.

So, it's true... Home-made 5 spice powder is pretty nice, and very easy to make. We ran out, so I toasted fennel, cassia, star anice, sichuan pepper, black pepper and cloves, put them in the spice grinder fixture of the blender, then toasted more sichuan pepper and star anise, ground that down -- and in ten minutes I have pretty good smelling five spice powder.That's quicker than going to the shop to buy a jar of pre-made!

@davidrevoy Deevad, I feel you. Soon, we'll have the is-AI-Slop-Allowed-in-Krita discussion. I had deferred it to October, but October is pretty soon.I'm vehemently against, at least one Krita developer is vehemently in the "it's just a tool, so it's fine" camp. Most other sposored developers seem to be against, too, but...It's going to be nasty.Also, I got me some really nice paints and brushes so I can just paint and empty my skull of worries.
