@Gargron - Re music, when I asked my spouse today what he'd add to my list of "things humans can do that AI bots can't" (https://me.dm/@funcrunch/116206885885065034), he said live audio mixing. (He's a professional audio engineer.)ETA: I gave the same response as to when he proposed "Empathy": AI bots *pretend* they can do this, and are convincing at it. @Gargron @Mastodon Tux was a surprise gift from my then-husband, many years ago. A huge box that looked to be from a computer company arrived at my office, I was puzzled as I didn't recall ordering anything. Then I opened it and saw this guy. 🐧 💜

On #LinkedIn, two recruiters in the last month have contacted me about tech support positions. The last job I had where I did tech support ended in *1998*. That's almost 30 years ago! Even if I wanted to resume doing tech support - which I absolutely, categorically *do not* - I wouldn't be qualified for it now.(1/2)

@Gargron Ugh. As an agender trans person I definitely agree on the silliness of gendering things.(FWIW, I strongly prefer unscented products, whereas my genderqueer spouse loves fruity flowery scented everything.)

@dangillmor I've seen only four movies in theaters since 2020, and three of them were 4K or IMAX re-releases. That said, I'm a hermit, my spouse is an audio engineer, and we have a pretty nice setup for at-home viewing.

As I noted when I signed the #WikiWorkersUnited petition (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wiki_Workers_United_solidarity), my volunteer editing on #Wikipedia is very important to me, but I'm a strong union supporter and I do not cross picket lines.
