@nirbheek @slomo @pwithnall @hbons we're talking about genAI-based "clean room" reimplementations; those should not be allowed, unless you can demonstrate that the training data set is actually clean. This should be encoded in the licensing terms and copyright law.

Just to satiate my curiosity, I went through the "AI Slop" label for submissions on Flathub. It's truly horrific to see the amount of wholly LLM written shovelware thrown at the wall, and worst of all are the dipshits using agents to handle the whole submission process.I would start invoicing a bunch of AI companies for the wasted time and fatigue that the volunteers reviewing this slop are enduring.

I was exposed to an Android 15 phone, and it was the most "damn, you live like this" experience I've ever had since the time I had to use Windows 10 after more than 15 years of desktop Linux.I had to look "how to turn off the phone" in the help, because long press on the power button now brings up the chatbot assistant, and there's no affordance in the UI that lets me know I have two swipe the screen twice to access the quick settings.

New rule: if you have the money to run an LLM as a glorified fuzzer with a markdown output generator in order to file security issues, then you're on the hook for everything: from scripts to logs, from requesting a CVE to providing *at least* a band-aid patch. Otherwise off into the bin you go, because you're just wasting people time.

This is actually my revised rule for issues coming from companies and systematised/sponsored efforts: if you get paid for doing security analysis, you are also on the hook for a fix. Shitting the bed and then leaving it to an unpaid maid is how sociopaths behave.
