       Anyone got some favorite privacy improving networking stacks? I feel like the public internet is going to keep getting more surveilled. yggdrasil gets a question mark, because the generated ip addresses are static.

       @jalefkowit There's been work on swappable batteries, so what I think might be interesting is a car with a built in modest sized battery but slots to add in a longer range battery when needed.So you could save on weight with a car that usually has ~100 mi range, but could add in another couple hundred miles if you were taking a long trip.

It takes a lot of efficiency improvements before hours in the sun makes that many miles of travel

       @civodul the end of Fahrenheit 451 had the protagonist escaping his anti book culture to a counterculture of people who had memorized books to save literature from their societies anti intellectualism.I feel like there will always be some people who want to program with understanding even as the rich try to replace all of their employees with machines.
