       @ariadne /dev/null ing comments also means, that you can't react to them. If there is a decent "no comments"-flag you could enforce it by automatic reports/defederation in theory

       @ariadne I am not saying that you should sell false hopes. It just feels off, that your very own post may be shown alongside comments you are unaware of, when e.g. viewing your profile on a federated instance. No need to screenshot or repost it in any way. And that's why I was thinking about being able to automatically moderate them away, if there is no way to at least tell the commonly used implementation to disallow replies

       @ariadne I always wonder if people are really that different here, than on the commercial networks. Like sure, there is less advertising, less automated recommendations and probably a slightly higher barrier to register, but people stay who they are
