@judgedread I'm sure that Trump seriously believes the BS about the US being the biggesest and baddesest military in the world, and not just the most expensive.Its the product of a corrupt procurement process, and politicized leadership. It has TOE and doctrine from the 90s, and has learned mostly nothing from the last four years in Ukraine.I doubt he'll learn from the consequences of the delusion. He seems better at blame shifting.

The US has been fucking over Iran since they helped MI6 overthrow the government in the 50s and install the Shah. Anti-US sentiment from Iran has been well deserved.You can't keep assaulting your neighbors and expect them to keep tolerating it. Eventually, every bully gets busted in the mouth.

The US has shown repeatedly in Ukraine that they are willing to create piles of corpses for three days worth of PR. The only difference between Ukraine and Iran is that it will be US corpses piling up for the PR instead of Ukrainian.

The hallmarks of GenX (speaking as one) are both apathy, and isolation. Not only did we grow up as latchkey kids, but we also saw the deterioration and fragmentation of the neighborhoods we lived in.By the time we became adults there was no unified voice; just individuals all scraping for their little piece of the big pie (as America devolved into a social Darwinist wet dream). By the time we became adults the general shift from people being citizens to being consumers was in high gear, as "politics" gained a slimier image and participation in it became more obviously futile.I certainly grew the attitude that I would go to the wall for me and mine, but everything else could burn.

Its true. I'm old enough to remember when they were called Personnel, had a small fraction of the staff, and just pushed hire paperwork and payroll.Its an anchor on companies, and is staffed by people who wouldn't qualify in any department of use.

That makes sense. I never got into Dragonlance. My favorite fantasy was always work by Glen Cook, Michael Moorcock, Karl Edward Wagner, and obviously Tolkien.

It certainly has that element. The biggest draw for me in the original trilogy was the interplay between Goblin and One Eye, and of course the dread duo Limper and Soulcatcher.
