If you're on Linux and want a really cool way to resemble CLIs on older machines, this little program lets you do just that. It's a separate terminal emulator launched via your existing terminal emulator and lets you change color schemes to mimic retro computers (C64, PET, IBM PCs, Apple ][, etc).Pretty fun program! It's in a lot of distro repos but if not, you can get it here:https://github.com/Swordfish90/cool-retro-term#linux #retrocomputing #PC #retropc #terminal #cli

RE: https://retro-gaiden.com/@ncgaa/116366220690236919Legit one of the most influential Star Wars games for me. I never got far as a kid because I found it challenging (though I beat Rebel Assault 2 many times over somehow), but the atmosphere is unbeatable. This first level is also why I found Star Wars Rebels so nostalgic for me: the way they portrayed the Imperial facilities immediately reminded me of this game!RT: https://retro-gaiden.com/ap/users/116263918312867761/statuses/116366220690236919

@gamingonlinux I'd go for the Steam Machine personally (I just love Valve) but I like the fact that Steam Machines are designed to allow competition, just as the Steam Deck was. Valve understands basic economics and the fact that healthy competition drives down prices and improves the experience for consumers.

RE: https://retro-gaiden.com/@ncgaa/116660817392319710I wanted to play this game so bad after I played the demo at my local Target, but I didn't have a PS3 to play it on. I still never got around to buying one :rp_depre:RT: https://retro-gaiden.com/ap/users/116263918312867761/statuses/116660817392319710

@slowlygoingsane I've never fully emulated anything after the 16-bit era other than the Gamecube, I've always had problems with more recent console emulation for some reason.
