       @pixel I'm only on Bluesky and here now and even then it's not that enjoyable when a Thing happens. Last night Bluesky got DDoSed and both platforms were insufferable about it - thankfully the new Tomodachi Life came out so I've been busy with that more lol

       I think I need to set a rule with free and open source software: if it's being evangelised and pushed, especially in a smug, condescending or otherwise generally circle-jerky sorta way, seek alternatives. It always seems like in the FOSS community, the jankiest shit gets evangelised while the stuff that's working or otherwise pragmatic gets left behind.

       I remember when there was drama between Euro Office and OnlyOffice, there was this weird circlejerk of people who felt the need to say they use LibreOffice.Meanwhile, atm OnlyOffice is the one that is working better for me. It's mostly snappier, and it tries to stay close to MS Office as possible, meaning I don't have to deal with weird jank surrounding things like conditional formatting...

According to f4mi's research during the Framework debacle, they've sorted out the moderation issues but they did ask if that actually wasn't the case at the time. In any case, I much prefer Niri's stability even if features don't come as quick.Though... PGP? The cert signing tool? That's, absolutely weird to evangelise.

       @gamingonlinux wrt your question on the article: Deltarune's a really good game, there's a lot of deeper emotional connection to it given the fact Toby also made Undertale which hit a lot of people emotionally (myself included). But if you're not an RPG guy it might not be your thing (it is a very accessible game in that genre though).Also a quick note, the full game doesn't transfer your saves from the demo on Linux because they don't share the same prefix, Proton treats them as separate apps.

       @Miaourt I tried it to see what it was like and ended up going back to my old password manager. Bloat is whatever (I find that people throw that word willynilly as well) but clunky is a good word for it.

       @Miaourt 1Password. I've never felt the need to move away since the UX is nice, whatever OS I've used. It's pricey but atm I'm happy to pay that price for something basically essential
