Yeah slowly then all at once.Much criticism (with a lot justified) about Americans doing f@ck-all while their/our government lurches out of control but we know as well as anyone that there is nothing underneath of us. It's not like...pretty much everywhere else where if the government was overthrown the next day would be pretty much like the day before: this would be "Soviet-levels" of collapse. All but the regime's most based critics look over the precipice and wonder if it might be easier to make a deal with the brown mob that's descending upon them than to gamble on such a huge unknown (even though the "huge unknown" will be upon them no matter what).

"Putin Redux" is always the best case scenario though I'm not sure how much of that is applicable to GAE. A lot would depend, I think, on how much the foreign powers will want to keep the empire alive (though their influence may not be all that persuasive).

I have a hard time believing though that people within the company saw that initial fail and didn't think something like "I told Margret that downlink valve design was sh!t and now look at the mess I have to help clean up!"I will say that I heard it blew up so completely that the area is just covered in shrapnel so that might make it hard to have any blame stick.
