       @faithisleaping Funny enough, I got a glimpse into it this morning myself.  I haven't talked to my dad in over a year. But this morning I met with my financial advisor, who's a cishet white man, maybe a few years younger than my dad. I always assumed he was somewhere along the "centrist" line of things, but this conversation confirmed it. And the answer is: no, they don't know. They don't see the laws that are being passed. They don't hear the rhetoric. It doesn't hit their news or their circles. And if it does, it's downplayed and they don't know the severity of it. They think it will just blow over and that the "needle swung too far for us."People who didn't believe our fears before don't believe them now either.
