       Explaining to people that 'hacking' is less like a frontal assault and more like background radiation, it's happening everywhere, all the time. It's mostly harmless so long as you take basic precautions, but sometimes we find a demon core balancing on a screwdriver and you really need to budget something safer.

       In old Cisco switches any command entered that's not a command gets resolved as DNS address.This is a blocking command that can't be cancelled.If the DNS server is offline then it will hang until timeout, so like 30 secondsWhat the fuck#Cisco #networking

       Seriously what is wrong with Windows Update?Why is it like that?Android, MacOS, Linux (various), ChromeOS, probably Blackberry too update just fine. No fuss, just downloads and installs.Why does Windows download, maybe, install, maybe, fail, retry, reboot, download but slow, fail to download, just gives up, downloads too much, downloads too little, reboots randomly, several times, doesn't tell you what's happening, breaks, freezes, hides, vanishes, won't turn off, won't turn on, won't install.Why is it like that?#windows
