       My dad is a journalist. He wrote about a pilot  project with self-driving busses recently. And something that none of the men I have talked to seem to realise is that it is fucking scary to think that you are in a bus alone at night without a driver and then someone starts harassing you. My male friend said "what is the bus driver gonna do?" but honestly, just the presence of another person is often enough. And a bus driver can call the police or stop the bus if need be, there are options.

       For #TerryPratchettDay I want to share one of my favourite quotes. There are many, but this one just resonates with me as a writer. Sir Terry Pratchett's work is about how important stories are to humans and as a storyteller who grew up loving his books, unsurprisingly I feel the same way.        @EUCommission I have an old phone at home that works perfectly fine but can't be used because banking apps and other essential functions stopped working when the OS wasn't updated any more.I don't want to dispose of a device that works perfectly fine. My sister also has a second phone just for the banking apps. It's ridiculous!

       Annoyed by German friend who keeps dismissing things that are happening in other countries as if that doesn't affect anyone living in Germany. I laid out how decisions by US lawmakers and corporations affect my ability to sell erotica and in response I got "I don't care about US politics". Thank you, pal, I would love not caring about it either, yet it affects me from the other side of the world. Sky-rocketing petrol prices affected everyone in Germany, a direct consequence of US politics. WTF.

       @TheM00se It's not like he's unpolitical per se but he complained to me about wanting apolitical films while his favourite genre is sci-fi. I said all art is political, even if it wasn't created with intentional politics in mind, and sci-fi is one of the most inherently political genres in existence because you make predictions about the future. Maybe it's only "politics" if it's about something he doesn't care about? Idk.
