       @mangeurdenuage it's custom made by people we know, of course the cost of the materials is much less but it's a unique engineering piece of work

       @mangeurdenuage La machine a été dévelopée par mon labo, le projet a coûté des dizaines voir centaines de millions donc on est pas à 100k près --'La bible de l'IRM pour nous c'est Magnetic Resonance Imaging - Physical Principles and Sequence Design de Haacke mais c'est très avancé...Niveau master et en français il y a Imagerie de Résonance Magnétique - Bases Physiques et Méthodes de Michel Décorps, qui est très bien mais assez avancé aussi.Niveau vulgarisation je ne connais que la vidéo de real engineering https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlYXqRG7lus .J'avoue que je ne vois pas trop d'entre-deux, je vais chercher dans mes anciens cours pour voirDe manière générale le monde de l'IRM c'est très mathématique donc il ne faut pas avoir peur des équations...

       @eal on my machine this is even cooler (literally), we have to get the helium even closer to 0K and achieve the superfluid statethe cage is really for the receiver coils and in ultra high field MRIs they also hold multiple transmit coils as body coils (those directly in the tunnel) become quite less efficient...that's what we call antennas and what I almost dropped btw :)))))
