       TLDR:  the death rate for transgender people is *lower* than for non-transgender people in most categories.  And the perpetrators aren't white supremacist strangers, but romantic partners.

       @tj I came to the same conclusion and said so in response to a histrionic "protect trans lives" posts on a local atheist group back in my Facebook days. Of course a couple of people got very upset by a cogent argument. One insisted the rates were actually much higher because these reports often ignore transness and report victims under their cis genders. Once you can imagine that 200% of trans are murdered daily, it's a terrible situation.
