       Just watched the new Resident Evil movie.I loved every second of it. And I am not even so big fan of the horror genre to begin with. Absolutely hilarious, while also still scary and thrilling a good amont.And don't let yourself get swayed away by the fact, that it's not following any of the game characters, and it's following a total soy boy instead. Trust me, it is a great trade for what it allowed them to do in the story.

       @LukeAlmighty man I guess I just don't like fun lol. I don't usually like horror movies though tbf. Not because of the genre but just because they usually feel forced and I can't suspend my disbelief enough.

       @beardalaxy Yeah, I hate horrors too. The jumpscares are usually insanely pharahraphed, forced, and I rarely care about the characters.Yet, somehow, I was filly immersed in this one for most of the time.

       @LukeAlmighty well I'm glad you liked it. I liked it for the most part too, I think my main problem was just that it tried to be a little bit too funny and I got some shades of marvel humor in there.

       @LukeAlmighty interesting, a main issue i hear comes from RE fans complaining that its not about a RE character, but i heard its like a RE "playthrough" with an OC in raccoon city (im a RE fan btw) which i think its a dumb complaint, i dont mind when movies try to adapt the source material in that way, if they tried to adapt any of the games stories it would flop hard imo, it wont work, but putting an oc thru one of the games events doesnt seem so bad and gives you liberty in the story, and makes it hard to complain about them messing up your fave characters if theyre not in it. As for the silliness, the games are silly, thats the charm :Akarin_Shrug: ill prob check the movie out next week when my friend is back in town

       @LukeAlmighty Rec 2007, spanish movie about a reporter in a zombie outbreak, the way the movie is played out is very much 1 to 1 with how resident evil games are lol

       @LukeAlmighty so long as you play any RE game once you can watch the movie, i mean you dont have to play RE first since its not a RE movie, but id say do it so you can go "oh, yeah, this is very much like RE" lol

       These movies are completely insane and just keep going. They're so slop they're actually fun. Unironically. It's also smart they don't follow the game plot. Both liberating them and protecting the game from their madness.
