@Ronnie21093 The laziness isn't a genetic thing at least, previous generation's shrine maiden was clearly a capable woman. Though, if I could be presumptuous for a moment, I'd almost argue the reason why Gesnokyo is so peaceful currently is because Reimu is an awful shrine maiden. She fails to even begin to act properly for the job description and as such everyone she fights decides to be a friend to her. :thinkinghrr: Then again the previous generation shrine maiden isn't all that great an example since she had to help form Gensokyo and tard-wrangle people like Mizuchi who didn't understand what Gensokyo was for. Lots of chaos from the sudden change and loss of any faith or fantasy within the outside world. Either way good luck stopping the daughter from picking up Reimu's habits.

@Ronnie21093 Oh, absolutely. Realistically you'd be lucky to go a single day without a good chunk of Gensokyo deciding to come over for a visit to see the daughter of Hakurei. Putting it like that feels wrong actually. You'd be lucky to go a single day without a good chunk of Gensokyo wanting to see the daughter of Reimu, that's better.

@Iffine I feel like some of that play might include some danmaku, so I feel like Reimu's daughter would get quite good at it :cirno_heh: Also, not only would the daughter have plenty of friends but Reimu would have no shortage of babysitters when she has to solve an incident :doge_laugh:

@FruitpilledPeachcel @Ronnie21093 Not much. Main thing we know is that Reimu's predecessor was a good person and a good shrine maiden, maybe a bit too good. She played her role well and as such struggled to get through to Mizuchi. The way Mizuchi tells it, the previous shrine maiden was a traitor and a horrid liar. The way those who were there and not becoming vengeful spirits remember it, Mizuchi's pride and her spite led her to ignore all the chances she was given. Reimu however didn't care. She wanted to resolve things her own way. That lack of decorum or care let her get through to Mizuchi, Reimu is being selfish when she wants to save Mizuchi rather than being kind.

@FruitpilledPeachcel @Ronnie21093 Also a side note that's mostly unrelated, but I love how in one of the last chapters of the first arc here, Reimu immediately gives up the whole shounen power-up thing once she understands the situation. It's very important, the solution was always to go back to that peaceful and lazy girl rather than change herself.

@Ronnie21093 @supersid333 @FruitpilledPeachcel Kinda, though the previous shrine maiden's gohei actually has a reason to be that large considering the decorations and such it has. Reimu's stick is just growing absurdly long for no reason. It's extremely unlikely Reimu will ever actually give the thing a full set of decorations.

@Ronnie21093 @FruitpilledPeachcel @Iffine Well yeah, Reimu and Sanae make use of Gohei since it's a tool Shrine Maidens make use of them to purify areas, objects, or people.This Sendou Miko's staff seems to just be a larger version of it. It's design invokes more traits of a Gohei then anything else.

@Ronnie21093 @FruitpilledPeachcel @supersid333 It's rather hard to describe the sheer impact of that series in so many ways. There's a reason that the cover for Liz Triangle's best of album was of Reimu with a certain mask. Also a reason why the big sendoff track for the circle when originally disbanding was accentuated at both ends with the track that was used to end the series. It lures you in with what seems to be just a cute story and then before you know it everything hurts. It's not bad though. It's in fact pretty well done. It can just hurt a bit.

Immediately after the lead-in of ありがとう is moon light step, the latter being a Rumia arrange. If you immediately recognize what the tracks are you’re getting a gut punch with the connection. The rest of the re-arranged tracks are just twisting the knife, further and further. By the time it reaches the Shinmy arrange, リトルドリーマー, being sprinkled in I’m broken by it.

@grooms It's fine. Really I only end up thinking like this because I do have context. Much as I hate to admit it, I really do read almost every doujin I come across (at least of non-h, I'm not insane enough to read all the h-doujins out there). That means I also have a lot of additional context to images sometimes that makes them lose the meaning they were posted in these threads with.

@Ronnie21093 @grooms They aren't, but they're directly related to a doujin series. For the undesirable context, it's a yuri doujin series. A really long one. One that tries to give everyone pairings, and usually somewhat confusing ones at that (Shanghai Doll and Marisa felt like a flashbang going off). Main thing is the artist, Yohane, almost exclusively draws yuri stuff.

The series is already baffling in that it features yuri pregnancy (a logistical question I won’t even bother thinking about) but then the logistical question of Shanghai being given a full size doll body and somehow getting Marisa pregnant is something I really don’t know how to contend with.
