       @silvermoats @sean_ae btw imo a more correct comparsion related to warp would be to Surfing on Sine Waves - thats the album (also a huge compo of stuff from 1989-1993..) that got richard signed to warp from what i know, before that he was on R&S and even had plans to release phlegm ep there but it was cancelled eventually & the 'phlegm' track was repurposed into 'wax the nip'

       @silvermoats @sean_ae yeah kinda same, for me LF is more about 606 + crunchy stabs and weird 202/101 arps / etc. dunno how that works "internally" for sean and rob tho, gets confusing sometimes also there are tons of very lego feet-ish tracks with R-8 on warp tapes!

       @silvermoats @sean_ae while i mostly agree - drukqs is all over the place imo - very non-consistent but works well if you compile your own tracklist, almost like if thats the intended way. kinda feels more like that when you consider that cd and vinyl copies have diff track ordersim p sure it even has a few 1993-1994 tracks there. old demos+playerpro madks+piano trax+random bits... and that lfo bit - yeah, deffo interesting. he did tons of great tracks back then  :)

       @sean_ae @silvermoats im still confused by how all that stuff was compiled tho lolae (track) - 1989ae (tape) - 1990cavity job - 1991lego feet - 1991did lego feet ever exist in parallel to autechre? or it was more of a "we need to release our old stuff and move on"

       @toffo @silvermoats cav job was made early 91 but it took a bit to get any labels interested, we were thinking of it a bit like a test cos hardcore was just kicking off around then but by the time it came out we were a bit past thatThe LF release was a bit like a comp cos we’d already been calling ourselves autechre for like 9 months by the time that came out, and there were a couple of tracks on there we could have released as autechre, but most we wouldn’t have at the timeAnd incunabula was us just sending everything to warp so older stuff like the orig version of bike was in there and that was done before LF was even released
