       NJ childhood memory: There used to be so many Canadians visiting the Jersey Shore every summer that it was common to get Canadian coins mixed in with your change, and if you used them, businesses wouldn't mind. It was a fun game to see which vending machines would accept a Canadian quarter.

       @vwestlife our arcade machine coinmechs very specifically rejected US quarters, which i always found fascinating

       @vwestlife Unrelated, I was in NJ for a couple weeks over the summer at guide dog training, admittedly it was a bit close to NYC but it was still quite nice, NJ treated me very well.
