       the bluetooth headphone receiver i picked for lucy a while ago is cursedit has a USB-C port for charging but it will not charge if the other end is also connected via USB-C. only USB-A chargers/ports work

       @mia this is very common in poorly made productsyou can make a usb c to usb c cable work if you use a C to A and then A to C adapter though. I wish there was a small dongle that would just pre-activate the CC pins.

       @Jes yeah i’m pretty sure this thing originally had micro-USB and then they just swapped the receptacle in later revisions without adding the resistors to the BOM lol

       @mia finally found it, it's called "5.1k resistor usb c adapter"I've been searching USB C CC adapter and CC enable adapter among other things but just now I figured out none of that mattered

       @mia I also see the other use case is disables PD and other fast charging protocols so if you want to forcefully slow charge your phone for some reason then there ya go too
