       My biggest complaint about trans folks on a personal level is that they feel compelled to tell you their back story within 2 minutes of meeting you.#1 - I don't really care#2 - I have no idea how much of what  you said is factually true#3 - No really, I'll probably never see you again after today, so can we just get through this afternoon like normal strangers?

       @chromeratt My Mostly Former Housemate became trans last year, and all his friends are socialist men pretending to be women.  The place where he's staying has a constantly rotating list of residents and guests.Sometimes they tag along when I take him someplace, so I get to meet a lot of trans folks.  I hear a lot of back story.But it's none of my business and I don't care so I wait for that part to finish and move on to the social part.

       @tj my daughter has a friend since elementary school now F2M.  Said friend is living with a guy and talking about getting married. that last point makes my head hurt, but none of my business.  I'm only mildly curious if the BF is also F2M, thinking folie à deux, but again not my business.. Sounds like their place is also a crash pad for a number of interesting characters.

       @tj The folie à deux is not just about the gender/ sexuality thing.  It's also about the way they.live.  Bought a house, yay them.   But it sounds like a mess:Kitchen floor with so much water damage they're afraid they'll end up in the basement Interior doors without knobs, including bathroom doors.But again, none of my business.  And I'm trying hard to keep it that way.

       @chromeratt Was it a wreck when they bought it?  My BIL's family members buy messed up houses and everyone works together to get it in shape.  It's the only way they can afford to own a house in California.But sometimes the house is really messed up and it takes a few years to get it nice.

       @tj yeah, it was a mess before hand, but my reading of the stories I've been told is they don't know how to fix things, don't have the capacity to learn and don't have the money to pay anymore to fix it.And when I hear the things they do spend money on, I just roll my eyes and excuse myself from the conversation.
