       Personally I still think that people who have a platform, if these are artists, movie stars, 'influencers' or whatever should ALWAYS speak out against the terrible stuff happening in the worldStaying silent and using excuses like "my platform is not made for that" or "fans might hate me for it" is for me the same as a silent approvalWe don't expect a full episode, movie or song but please leave that bubble for a bit and step into reality, put ethics over money for once

       @stux I’ve been at several concerts where the artists spoke directly to issues of love and justice. Stevie Wonder. John Butler. Paul McCartney. Lady Gaga. I’m grateful for their eyes on the humanity, the urgency, the calls to personal action. They used the stage and their art to speak to people inclined to pay attention.

       @stux The vast majority are only in it for the money. Playing the game to get a piece of all that cash being laundered in the name of art. So much of it is political, even when it isn't.
