First of all, Kirby Air Ride making the top 20 shows how few big-sellers the GameCube actually had, because that game was hardly a massive hit.Mario Kart Double Dash only being #3 really surprised me, I've read multiple places that it eventually took Melee to become the overall best-selling GameCube game, but I can't really see how that can be true, because from what I've seen Melee was the only GCN game to break 1 million in Japan, and if it beat MK so badly in the US too I can't see Europe and the non-factor regions making up the difference.Paper Mario: TTYD at #9 is super good considering how Paper Mario 1 was only 58th on the N64 ranking.Pokemon Colosseum missing the Top 10 is solely due to its insanely stupid name choice, I'd argue that's one of the worst names in all of gaming history, 100% makes the game sound like just another Stadium, rather than Pokemon's 3D debut. Call that game Pokemon 3D and watch its sales double, EASILY.3 Sonic games in the Top 20, back then people were really excited about Sonic on a Nintendo console, huh?Rogue Leader missing the Top 15 is kinda shocking to me, that was like THE GameCube launch game for many people given just how short Luigi's Mansion was, and it was definitely the single best showcase of the console's graphics and PS2-surpassing power.Apparently Resident Evil 4 is #21, pretty garbage sales for such a landmark release, no wonder Capcom was so desperate to pull out of their RE exclusivity deal with Nintendo.F-Zero GX, Metroid Prime 2, the Pikmin games and the Star Fox games all missing the top 20 is kinda sad...RE: https://detroitriotcity.com/objects/5ed53af8-d333-48bc-951b-99956987297c

TP is rather impressive because it launched on the GC and Wii at the same time, probably hurting some of its sales.

@TrueMasterCole That's an understatement, it no doubt crippled the sales of the GameCube version (even if motion control haters insist that's the superior game).Also, it didn't launch at the same time, the GameCube version actually launched slightly later:https://zelda.fandom.com/wiki/The_Legend_of_Zelda:_Twilight_PrincessInterestingly, Nintendo didn't pull the same shit with BotW, I wonder if that was due to the Wii U being so dead that there was no way for it to inconvenience the Switch.

I think I remember reading that the switch wasn't even considered for BOTW until later on, meaning it was going to be a wii u exclusive, and then changed somewhat late into development.

@TrueMasterCole Guess they really lucked out with all those delays making the stars align...Then again, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe would probably still have sold a ton of Switches, even if the lack of a strong hardcore singleplayer experience until Odyssey would probably have hurt the console.BotW early-day adaptation rate was fucking insane.

@thomasroiloup @ChristiJunior @TrueMasterCole Twilight Princess is already too easy even without a gun. Midna sex that can be played one-handed is of course a necessity, though. TP has minigames for damn near everything else, so might as well.

@ChristiJunior What's surprising about Melee being #1? :jeb_alpha: I can't believe Sunshine is #2 on that list. DSP assured me it was the worst Mario game ever made. GameCube users must've been starving for games.

Oh, I actually forgot to mention perhaps the craziest thing about this list: LEGO Star Wars over Rogue Leader! Again, Rogue Leader was genuinely considered a big deal back when the GameCube launched, but I guess competing with Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin and especially Smash Bros. Melee during the first few months of the GameCube's life proved too tough for it.
