Remember YT killed web animation in favor of makeup tutorials and podcast-style bloviating 14 years ago, when it connected the payouts to watch-time instead of real views. The pajeet in charge can't really fuck it up beyond the technical side.Just checked and it was a two year stint from 'Salar Kamangar' (Iranian, huh) that instituted the change before handing the deformed platform to old jew Susan. Well, it could be worse: minutely bottlenecking and assigning stipends to make 2D veer into a pseudo-tumblr sphere instead of the shots in the dark that have rung out through the years.
