       @judgedread The funny part of all this is that in the scale of fedi you're not that unhinged and it is possible to engage with you on a normal topic volume which is probably unusual to the folks who pride themselves on arguing past the other person.

       @radians If you walked up to a stranger in real life and opened the discussion the way these people do the only friends they would make would be dangerous psychopaths looking to share a Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer adventure. That's the disconnect. They think everyone new on fedi is applying to be a pledge in their frat, not a stranger who has no connection to them whatsoever, and to whom their hazing rituals are indistinguisable from psychotic breaks.
