       @lunathemoongirl but I didn't expect it to be _this_ lacking? Especially not after the 1980s.Like, it's not just an isolated case; we've seen much more penile-anal sex yesterday between strangers than we was planning to, and absolutely all of it was unprotected. (And basically unprepared and casual, with preparation at most being a spit on the hand).

       And also, if sex ed is so sorely lacking in Germany, you would think that a place where lots of sex between strangers is supposed to happen, will also have, besides an awareness team, bowls of condoms lying in accessible places?Instead of a single ancient disused vending machine tucked in a remote corner of a labyrinth and accepting coins only (at least it accepts EUR coins and not DM coins), in comparison with multiple tobacco/cigarettes vending machines everywhere (indoors!)And also you would think that besides posters about enthusiastic consent, it would also have posters about protection and STDs?

       @IngaLovinde I'm always appalled by how many of these places that cater to gay men put condoms behind a paywallin my experience people who run places like that are the fucking worst

       @anhedonie not just behind a paywall, but you need to like actually put an active effort into finding this vending machine. You have to know it's there, and you have to know where, and you have to walk to it (from some locations inside the labyrinth it can take as much as 5-10 minutes depending on the crowds), and you have to have two 2EUR coins, and then you have to hope it actually works and is stocked.Meanwhile event catering to straight couples I've been at a decade ago: has literal bowls of free condoms within a couple of meters from each location where sex typically happens.(If it's a large space, then there will be multiple bowls hanging on the walls a couple of meters apart.)Meanwhile this same event where condoms are behind a paywall and are also hidden: has multiple cigarette vending machines throughout the establishment, even though it's all (except for one remote smoking area) indoors, and has signs "no smoking allowed" (but of course nobody cares and smokes anyway).
