       Sorry, but it can't. The economy alone is unsustainable, and when that collapses, the shockwaves will destroy more than Brazil ever imagined. The US has been a global superpower for decades, and built on so much hot air that it inflated beyond sustainability. As of now it's all based on lies and deferments. When that bill comes due, even the power grid will be down.

       the system is built on past competence, and managed by the incompetent, and the competent are precluded from taking control and fixing these systems for political and parasitic reasonsso I hope people are planning for that and building their own alternatives and plans for taking power and fixing things as the systems failbecause a collapse is a failure to seize the system and power needed to repair/replace it, and that is at least in part a choice - for people to seize the power plants and factories and so on, and to have backups for the interim period, and to be able to provide the utilities and violence the communities need once the state's monopolies on these bucklethe system failing is an opportunity to make a new system, a collapse is the failure to do so
