       @willhbr well, if you don't have a car and don't need a car, i wouldn't bother with gas (unless you want something to barter).  i would recommend a gun though at this point.these MAGA people are going to lose their shit when gas is $10/gal

       @ariadne the part I don't understand is how the oil markets can see like us how Trump is depleting the US Strategic Petroleum Reserves at an unsustainable rate to delay the inevitable reckoning, and why oil isn't already at $500 a barrel.

       @ariadne The SPR is in an old salt mine. To preserve its structural integrity, oil is replaced with water when there’s a draw down. Water, of course, also eats the salt. The SPR was never meant to last as long as it has. If there’s a collapse or cave-in, it would be an exciting day for the news.
