       America is probably the place best prepared for resisting an end-phase overt technocratic system, because our manufacturing is already destroyed, so robot replacements and infrastructure repairs would have to come from overseas, and we're well armed to "embargo" that resupply.

       Of course. the goal is to stop things before they get that far, which other countries may be much more likely to succeed in that and overall.
