       The White House is considering using the Defense Production Act to expand U.S. oil-refining capacity as the war with Iran exposes vulnerabilities to global supply disruptions and rising crude and fuel prices, according to Reuters.Officials are considering federal support to expand or upgrade existing refineries rather than construct new facilities, which would take years and be significantly more expensive.U.S. refineries are already operating at roughly 98% of capacity.

       guess they did not learn a damned thing from 2023 and 24 when thousands of factories burned down or exploded from overcapacity and lack of maintenance.will be fun when the same start happening to infinitely more expensive oil and chemical refineries.none of these idiots have any eye for the future anymore, all they do is react to the problem here and now, with the most half assed and self destructive measures imaginable.
