       @ariadne the lack of a positive vision for what computing should be is hurting us all immenselyedit: i don't want to discount movements like permacomputing for example, my point is more that a lot, maybe even most of the people who are rightfully angry about the state of computing do not really subscribe to any such positive vision

       @ariadne arguably capability systems are what is needed for any form of secure computing, and agents are just _really_ forcing the matter since using an agent system without a capability system is just YOLO

       i mean i did not go and start a capability systems company because of "AI".  "AI" stuff was still a meme when I did that, even if a lot of our work is relevant to what they are doing.

       @ariadneI guess a lot of leaks would not have happened if a capabilities system was in place where a standard Windows/AD/Office system provided a near endless list of vulnerabilities to anyone willing to spend the time putting them to bad use…
