       Closing registrations on im-in.space for now.After the wave of bots using random bios as a reason to join that has been ongoing for months, I now have a huge wave with a username that starts with "bp" and "Automated protocol deliverability probe" as a join message. And they're mostly using trusted email providers like Gmail, Outlook/Hotmail, Docomo, ...

       @kdy sorry you have to spend time and attention on things like this to protect the instance for all of us, and also very grateful for you doing sothank you for sharing that you are doing this - I see other instance maintainers are dealing with similar issues

       Update: Quietly turned them back on (still required to wait for approval), and they didn't come back.I might still automate auto-rejections when using disposable emails.I've recently added FakeFilter checks, and it's already been doing better than SkipSend and Verifier (which apparently rebranded to VerifyRight but it's down).
