       @AzulCrescent there is almost certainly a queer romance novel that more or less has this as a plot to the point where in the queer romance novel space it would probably be considered cliché (seriously the romance novel market is just unreasonably huge and has something for pretty much everyone featuring pretty much every kind of situation) like not dissing in the comic sometimes a trope gets used over and over again because it tends to make a compelling story

       @AzulCrescent Had the dispiriting realization that the reason closet-me frequently ended up study buddies or doing group work with the women in the C-Sci courses was less to do with clockiness and more basic standards in not-being-a-creep.
