       All you need is USB-C on devices these days. If it's PD and USB4 compatible you can connect anything to it. Dongles are not terribe. I can use the same dongles on ALL my devices.All my mics and headphones work over USB (or Bluetooth) and it's flawless.

       @artI would have disagreed with you 10 years ago. Headphone jacks for headphones, microphone jacks for microphones, sockets for power supplies, many USB-A for other things, and an ethernet port.But my new laptop has no ethernet, has one of those combo headset/mic jacks, USB-C for power, and a couple USB3-A. Now I'm just annoyed there aren't more USB-C connectors...
