@stux I don't think my watercooled PCs would have been close to this, but even then I'd be shocked if it was over $2k. I think my latest SFF was probably 1,5k or so? Just prior to the AI hellstorm, and now the RAM for it is 400-500 by itself. 😿

@Alonely0 I got a Canon2000D and also DWARF3, together they are cheaper then that iPhone while the quality can never be reached with an iPhone camera(s) :blobcatgiggle:

@stux @eldersea I was just thinking of that. THIS would make sense IF you could use your mobile device as a PC. We were SO close. Sigh. My last project at Blackberry we were doing exactly this. A dock so you could drive your Blackberry with a 16:9 landscape screen, keyboard, mouse, external storage. Worked great too. Used my Z10 as a daily drive laptop for _work_ (all I needed were the PIM apps, browser and office suite.. rarely). Only problem half the apps didn't have a widescreen layout. You dock your phone and your desktop is this narrow portrait band down the middle of your monitor. And then we were all laid off. :(

@stux Pixel 11's are a kilobuck too. Who buys this shit? Seriously wtf. Paying for your surveillance. Its nuts. I have a pixel 7 (w/grapheneOS, fwiw). I hsve no idea what im gonna do when the time comes. I need no additional features. I use a lot of storage for music but that's partly laziness (dragndrop instead of curate).Honestly i can detect no difference functionally from my old pixel 4. I just shift my habits around to match what I've got. This shit wants to steal too much attention, money, personal data, and does not actually improve my life beyond the basic shit they all have now.
