       @stux Thats exactly what I did SEVEN YEARS AGO when the platform originally went to shit.   Anyone still on that platform today is just, well Im not sure what the right adjective is.   A malicious idiot?  They know what they are doing and what the platform stands for, but they continue to support it.

       @stux Same goes for Facebook, Insta, WhatsApp, Microsoft, Google, Android, Youtube, ...Boycotting mainstream platforms and operating systems is easily the best way to hurt those corporations, and now they have hungry AIs to feed there's every chance that the hurt will be more acute than ever before.At some point there will have to be an accord between data-creating humans and data-stealing tech corps.

       @stux I also see people using nitter and xcancel (which are down temporarily due to legal issues) instead of direct links to X. I wonder, isn't reading posts on X, even if you're using a different interface, still helping to prop up X and keep it going? It seems like it but I don't know for sure, that's why I'm asking.

       @stux Twitter suspended my account in 2019 BM. I'm now in a peculiar limbo state where I can look at it but not do anything, not even delete it as I most want to do. Even the offending post, which I still stand by, is there.

       @stux I had my account suspended. Well, more than one account suspended on there, in fact. And then I just left.But I am looking at independent author groups and one offers social media promotion - 30 posts on shitter. So I am not going there either - it would do me no good. And I think I am expected to return the favour for others. Which I can't do as I have been banned.
