       @eff Fifteen years ago a bunch of us were in a coffee shop in the Silicon Valley brainstorming our next startup. The tech bros promised to give us many millions of dollars if we would design something like Flock. This ubiquitous surveillance has been a wet dream of the tech bros for decades now. We had ethics and thus turned down their money, but obviously others did not.
